Marklye Antonio, our miniature donkey herd sire here at Highbury Stud was our first Miniature Mediterranean Donkey. We were then fortunate enough to spend some time in America visiting Miniature Donkey ranches and it was there that we choose 4 fantastic Jenny’s from the famous miniature donkeys Frontier Legend Ranch in Texas. All four of my girls were chosen for their impressive pedigrees, good confirmation and fantastic temperament. Robbie and these Jenny’s form the basis of my breeding stock of miniature donkeys and together are producing some wonderful foals! We have Miniature Mediterranean donkey foals for sale throughout the year.

Along with the Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys we also breed Poultry.
Keeping chickens is fun and relaxing and there is nothing more rewarding than finding a freshly laid egg! Whether you are a new or an experienced chicken keeper, we have breeds to suit all.

We have eight different breeding pens of Pure Breed Poultry that include Sussex, Orpingtons, Bramhas, Wyandottes, Legbars and Marans, and as with our donkeys have sought out and purchased quality breeding stock, buying from top exhibitors across the country. To assist with fertility and strong healthy chicks all our breeding stock is fed on good quality breeders pellets.

We also have a small flock of hybrid laying hens, which not only keeps us in fresh eggs, but also supplies friends and neighbours! To ensure a natural balanced diet our hens are fed on a good quality layer pellet providing them with all the vitamins and minerals necessary to lay a good strong shelled egg packed with goodness!

All pure breed chickens are available to purchase from the age of eight weeks through to Point of Lay, and Hybrids are available at Point of Lay. Throughout the breeding season we offer pure breed hatching eggs for sale.
